Passion Benefits
Passion strengthens confidence

I’m tremendously more relaxed at work. I come across more calm and more in control, and more empowered. I’m more confident that I actually do know what I know. And that confidence shows.

Finding a career that truly lights you up can boost your confidence.

Why? Because when your work is aligned with who you naturally are, your footing is more stable. It's like having both feet planted firmly on the ground with your center of gravity low and balanced. What comes naturally is the center you return to.

Doing work that isn't aligned with who you are, on the other hand, is like being constantly off balance. And because you're constantly off balance, you have to put energy into maintaining that balance. The precarious position saps confidence and increases anxiety. Not only that, it's makes it hard to believe that whatever position you've contorted yourself into is really the right one.

And it's not just being on the right path that builds confidence. It's also having clarity around why it's the right path so you can use that insight for the decisions you will make each step of the way. Time and again I've seen a client's sense of confidence in their path increase because they are able to say not only, "This is the right choice," but, "This is the right choice, and here's why."

I've also seen clients able to land a new job because they were able to confidently, clearly, and convincingly show that not only do they have the skills to do a job, the kind of work the job entails is precisely the kind of thing that energizes and engages them. No small thing if you're a hiring manager.

Is passion strengthening your confidence in your career? If it's not...

Client Quotes

"Curt's skill in asking the directed questions, and really uncovering the true core and the essential pieces, is a true art."

- Derek in Salt Lake City, UT

"For me, the fear of making a change was wrapped up in making a bad choice. 'I think I want to do this, but what if I'm wrong?' Now, with every choice I make, I know this is something I have an interest in, and have passion for. It all adds up."

- Jennifer in Redmond, WA

“I don’t drag myself to work now. I have to drag myself away from work. I get upset when I have to take time off. This is more fun than time off!"

- Dave in Seattle, WA
