Life Coaching
Your life has the potential to be a vibrant, energized adventure. But sometimes, left to its own devices, that adventure runs amok and you wind up spinning in circles, feeling confused, frustrated and stuck.

You have the insights and answers to get back on track, but it can take an external, objective perspective to help you find them. That's where I come in.

FUEL Check

At the heart of my life coaching is a concept I call maximizing your Gain-to-Drain Ratio. It's a straightforward idea. Simply incorporate as much as possible of what gives you energy (increase the Gain) and eliminate or minimize as much as possible of what drains your energy (reduce the Drain).

Starting with The FUEL Check Personal Energy Audit, a tool I developed to help evaluate the energy gain and the energy drain in your life, we will identify the areas in your life that need attention, prioritize them, and explore your options.

The coaching focuses on incorporating more of what gives you energy into your life and/or reducing what drains it.

Gains & Drains

What kinds of things do people work on as they maximize the gain and minimize the drain?

Potential energy gains include:

  • Finding work you love.
  • Creating relationships that enrich and support you.
  • Developing healthy habits.
  • Exploring a fulfilling spiritual life.
  • Making a personally meaningful difference.
Potential energy drains include:
  • Friction at work.
  • Conflict or confusion in your relationships.
  • Problems you don't know how to solve.
  • Unhealthy habits.
  • Procrastination.
  • Stress.
This is by no means all-inclusive. A good way to start getting a picture of where the potential gains and drains are in your life is to look at the following list and for each topic, ask yourself, "What energizes me about this area of my life? What is draining my energy in this area?"
  • Work
  • Relationships
  • Health & Wellness
  • Hobbies & Activities
  • Spiritual
  • Meaning & Making a Difference
  • Home Environment
  • Financial
  • Attitude & Beliefs
